Notes

  • Some scenes read like an A24 film where the setting and environment make you ask yourself, "is this real or am I watching a slow descent into madness?"

  • In spite of this, the author cements the gothic fantasy elements by conveying the cosmic reality at play via short vignettes between Heaven and Hell that read like Dante's Inferno.

  • Thomas' journey of redemption and forgiveness was beautiful.
